Conlon Hockey: Shooting & Compete Skills
Intermediate to Advanced-Level Skills for Players 12U-19U.
Service Description
Conlon Hockey skills sessions are intended for developing travel, elite, and high school hockey players with prior playing experience. Players work with us to focus on their skill development and to learn modern hockey skills and techniques that will improve their game. We keep our group sizes small, and coaches will focus on training 3 main skills categories: Compete/Puck Skills: Conlon Hockey emphasizes the skills players need to gain the upper hand on their opponents. Players learn offensive puckhandling and possession skills, such as how to beat defenders, and how to deceive goalies to score more points. Through practice of defensive skills, players will also learn how to stop their opponents while also generate more offensive opportunity and force turnover situations. Shooting Skills: Conlon Hockey focuses on shooting form and puck positioning, making technical correction to improve shot consistency and accuracy. We train players using the most up-to-date hockey shooting techniques and provide a high repetition environment to ensure each player develops good habits and acquires the skills needed to stand out on the ice and on the scoreboard. Skating Skills: Conlon Hockey is not your average power skating resource; our EAS skating system focuses on Edges, Agility, and Stride, taking time to analyze your form, technique, and weight transfer. We then make adjustments to your stride and use of edges and challenge you with footwork drills for immediate results in agility, power and speed. Focusing on the most important skill in hockey - skating - develops a players' most foundational hockey ability, crucial for results in all aspects of hockey skill development.
