Conlon Hockey's Skating & EAS Skills is for players who are proficient skaters and have sound foundational hockey skills. Conlon Hockey focuses on improving even the most advanced skaters through analysis of players' EAS (Edges, Agility, and Stride). Our sessions are designed to make adjustments to player skating mechanics, including a focus on improving your form for a more powerful stride, and challenging your edges with footwork that develops agility and speed. Players who work with Conlon Hockey will come to us with various skating goals, but here are two of the most common: the player skates with power, but can't generate speed - or are the opposite - the player can skate with speed, but can't generate power. Both speed and power are important, and the breakdowns and adjustments we make allow players to address both. We film on-ice using an iPad in order to review the mechanics of your skating abilities. This shows players what corrections to make, and ensures they understand how they can challenge themselves to improve. Focusing on the most important skill in hockey - skating - will develop a foundation players will require to continue development in all aspects of hockey development, at any point in their career. Highly skilled players will focus regularly on skating throughout their careers, and continuously work with skating coaches like Conlon Hockey to keep their skating skills sharp. Maximum 5 players per session. No sticks or pucks are used during these sessions. We share the ice with Public Ice or FreeStyle. Rink fee applies, and must be paid to rink in order to get on the ice with Conlon Hockey.
